can white leghorn hens have a big comb?(pic added)

So it is possible that I could have a hen. I don't need any more roosters. This chicken was given to my son. We know nothing about it.

I have a brown leghorn who's comb flops over and is as big as any roo's comb. Everyone thinks she is a he, but as the others have said, she gives me a nice white egg every other day or so. She's 3 and browns from what I've heard don't lay as prolific as the whites ...

I'll post a pic - I just took one today ...


Here it is .... the comb is flopping to her left - which is on the backside of this photo but you can get an idea anyway ...

White leghorns combs can be large...

Here is one of my hens around 20 weeks...

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure what to think. I have never had a leghorn before. The only thing I thought of was if it does turn out to be a rooster I am going to put it with my White Plymouth Rocks and see what I get.

This makes me feel better, my two white leghorns hens combs fell over. I wasnt sure if the was a defensies in there diet or what.

Leghorns male and female both have large comb's the females always flop to one side. Your's looks like a young male to me.
