can you continue with only 'one' hen ...?

I might be in the same boat

We have 2 chicks left.
If our chick starts to crow we will have none of the original chicks we bought because they'll all have turned out to be roos

I only have one definite pullet who is here to stay, and if I get another to keep her company then I have to worry about introducing/fighting = bleh. If you try another, I was told it's best to sneak them together at night when they're sleepy on the roost.

Go ahead, get another bird. They're like potato chips.... You can't just have one!

If your remaining hen goes broody you can try to sneak some hatchlings under her at night.
