Hi Everyone,
My a chicken in my flock was diagnosed with ornithobacterium rhinotracheale and it is assumed the rest of the flock probably have it to (this chicken ended up being being put out of its misery however the rest of my flock is in fantastic health with the occasional sniffles and sneezing). I have the choice of treating with antiobiotics but my question is, Can you eat a chicken with this disease given the chicken is showing no symptoms????
Is there concern of transmission?

It's best not to eat chickens that were around a sick chicken. They could just not be showing any symptoms, and if your sure they are not sick, best not to eat them because they could still be carrying some bacteria that can't be washed off.
