So I’m wondering if I can feed my girls egg whites? It’s a product you buy and it’s not set whites that I separated from the egg, it’s in a carton from the store. Would it be unsafe to feed them this?

Ok thank you. Wanted to cook some and feed them it for protein like you would a scrambled egg.No, but why would you want to?
What age are the chickens and what else are you feeding them? Formulated feed for poultry or chickens has sufficient protein, anything else should be as a treat only, maximum of 1-2 tablespoons per bird per day. Chicks less than 8 weeks old should only eat chick starter. Nothing else. With that said, the egg whites would definitely be enjoyed by your flock.Ok thank you. They are 19 weeks old and still on a grower feed as they are not quite laying size yet. Definitely several weeks out until they reach that size. I did read the entire thread. It’s not that long. I didn’t miss anything... there aren’t any ingredients in the carton of egg whites that chickens can’t have, and she stated they are 19 weeks. What I quoted was from today at 4:05 pm. I really don’t understand what you mean.Read the entire thread before quoting old responses, please.
