can you grin up catfish for your chicken?

my nieghbor is a fisher man n iam wondering if the fish he catches can be grin up whole with there bones n grills, to young chicks 4 mouths old or older chickens?

I never have but why not?

Or just cook it and toss it to them.. They chickens should know how to avoid the bones. I figure uncooked it might be tough.
