What a cutie!

I've heard that with silkies, you have to wait until they either crow or lay an egg. I too, would like to know on your silkie, I have a few in the brooder that I'm hoping are hens.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to tell with your chick.

i'm waiting with you - I have two week old silkies, one white, the other I thought was grey but now it looks blue - i'm tempted to keep them even if they are crowers!

It takes anywhere from 4-6 months maybe longer to sex a breeder/show quality silkie, but you can sex a pet quality silkie alot earlier. This is way too young to sex.

I'm guessing a boy Theirs just somthing about the beak and feathering. Boys dont have much fluff right by their eyes and their hair seems to go up and back on top more than girls ...BUT I could be wrong too.
