I had a post about a chicken with a respiratory infection I can’t get rid of. She is separated from the flock and has no other outward signs but bubbly eye and sneezing. Can you help me list all my antibiotic options? I may try a different one. Worth a shot.

What antibiotic did you use before, and what dosage/how many times a day was it given? Viruses such as bronchitis, ILT (infectious laryngo tracheitis) do not respond to any antibiotics, and may last for a month or more. MG or mycoplasma is treated with Tylan, tetracyclines, denagard, and Baytril. Coryza is best treated with sulfa antibiotics (sulfadimethoxine, bactrim.)

I had one older hen suffering with a respiratory problem. I made sure my coop wasn't damp, changed out the shavings in their nesting boxes, put unfiltered apple cider vinegar in their drinking water (my cure for most issues) and bought/ treated them at night with VetRx (bought at Tractor Supply). The problem resolved and she recovered.

We did 3 weeks of OXYTETRACYCLINE HCI in her water along with Vet RX and we even tried Terramycin ointment because she has no other symptoms. We noticed it when she was nearly 3 weeks old. She is now nine weeks and just as happy and healthy otherwise as her sisters.

I’ll look into apple cider vinegar for sure. We tried different shavings in her brooder and now she is just living free range in our front yard. LOL, she sleeps by her front door. (It’s warm here)
