I bought them as female, but was being told by 50% they were males. Soo iam very very happy with these answers all the saying pullets also

As much as I would love them to be pullets. Teddy is getting some green feathers Iam not 100% on breed I don't know if she/he is a mix. But with Rhode island's I'm pretty sure green is a sign of a male?! 11.5 weeks

Totally normal. Rhode Island Reds are technically red columbian so the black is expected. Sheen of feathers doesn't indicate gender

Agreed, all black on all feathers sheens, no matter the breed, species or gender. Even my silver speckled hamburg has sheen on her black spots.
