Can you ID these Peachicks

Thanks KeV,

Will put them in the shelter and mounted up. They can build trap doors to fill from the outside. Love cheap labor, these guys are here working on our base hubby is stationed at and away from home. So feeding them home cooked meals in exchange for their labor.

Wow, that's pretty nice & you sure have it made!

Which-ever way you choose to feed them, remember they will be heavy birds and apt to knock over the feed if they can (and they will do everything in their power to do so). They also enjoy flinging food (or in my hogs' cases, just spraying it everywhere as they gobble) so you may want to find or make a feeder they have to put their head inside to use to minimize waste and mess. We drilled holes in a 5 gallon bucket with a screw on lid and put it in a corner so they literally can't knock it over even if they try to sit on it.

Cute birds! I love when they are young

I hope you enjoy them and welcome to owning peafowl!

What is the timeline (age) when you can see this or tell the sexes? I have three chicks in ages six, five and four weeks of age. Two are IB's and one is BS and just trying to find out their sex. Thanks

About 3 months (12 weeks) you should be able to see the differentiation.

Kev,

I wouldn't be able to get most pens built without their help when hubby is away. Would rather build them with hubby, but the Air Force sends him away at times. Glad to have willing help.
