Hi everyone, I’m new to raising ducks and I got these sweet babies at TSC in a mixed variety bin. I’m just really curious on what they could be. Pekin? Muscovy? I have no clue. I’d love your opinions! Hopefully my pictures are good enough!

(And don’t worry, they stay inside with a heat lamp. We just went on an outside excursion for a few minutes since it was really warm out)

The closest TSC to us 25 mile had a flyer in our small home town paper said this was it for chick days. Just thinking of all those chicks and ducklings and no telling what else given as Easter gifts just to die or be dumped is heart breaking :(
My husband went into our local TSC yesterday and they had all of their chicks $0.50 and duckling $1 a piece. When he asked if that was it for the season, they said no and that it was because they just didn't want to have to come in tomorrow (Easter Sunday) and clean out the bins so they were selling them super cheap in hopes of selling out. This seems like such an irresponsible thing to do knowing that ignorant people are going to buy them as Easter gifts for kids.

Here’s a little update on them! They’re both getting white feathers on their wings, tails and chests, but their eyes are starting to look light blue.
Everyone still say Muscovy?

I will not make a guess but they are cute. I bet they poop and eat and make a mess with water too.

Yeah I hate that it’s always so close to easter when they have them there. It breaks my heart. Ours had a thing where you had to buy at least 2 ducks and 4 chicks so I guess that stops some people from
Getting them for their kids but I’m sure it doesn’t stop everyone
