Hi, Could anyone help me identify these roosters. My husband brought them home in October, from a friend that of course told him they were hens. Well....In November/December they started to crow. I just was curious what breed they were, they are really beautiful.
Thanks so much!

That's looks like an odd comb on #1-is it a rose comb or walnut comb? Can't tell from the photo.

I agree with M to the Maxx on both counts, the only thing I would add is, your No 1 roo appears to me to be primarily Old English Game and since I can't get fix on his size, I'm going to guess - standard or large breed. The coloring is mostly what I would call Crele. If you look at the OEG breed of Crele you will see that his color isn't exactly proper and that is why I concur that he maybe a "mutt," but the coloring is strongly Crele. #1 does have a very interesting comb. If he was as much OEG as he appears, I would have thought his comb would be more of a single comb, but as it was mentioned by easttxchick, it looks more like a walnut comb. That makes me wonder if he has some silkie back there somewhere. If there is, it must be way back, because I don't see it anyplace else.
Those are just my thoughts for what they're worth.

I was thinking Crele coloring on the first as well-very interesting bird. I have to admit-I think most roosters are gorgeous be they mutts or be they pure.

Yes, I agree. I've seen some really beautiful roosters that were mutts. I love purebred birds and prefer them for breeding, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a gorgeous bird when I see one.
