Hen looks like to me that she may have some game mixed with a heavy breed. Chick is way to young to say for sure. No way to know for sure on either really.

Game breeds are still chickens. They can eat the same feed as other breeds of chickens.

An Amish young man had the group running around in his barn. He is familiar with the guineas and said this hen was a wonderful mom for anything and everything, but he has no idea where the chick came from.
