Can you identify which black breed this hen is?

I’ll try it get some more pics of her today if I can catch her ;)

I agree, unlikely that she’s rare. I’d just chalk it up to “hatchery quality,” except for the cream eggs and the fact that we have always used hatchery chicks and have never had such an anomaly.

I couldn’t catch her, but I got some pics as best I could. She’s got pinkish, mottled feet underneath. Definitely not all black under there. Her comb is very strange. I tried to get a close up. All my other girls the same age have full red combs. She’s just got a little pink nub.

Does it look pea or single comb?
Her feet look yellow underneath which would point to Jersey Giant, but that might be the light.

I’ve never had a pea comb hen before, but it’s most certainly not a full comb. It’s about half the size. Yes I agree under her feet are whitish/yellowish. A Jersey Giant? I’ll have to google some pics ;)

Also should be noted she has a single comb. Sumatra's have pea combs.
It's also unlikely you'd get either of those breeds from a farm store when Australorps are the more obvious breed - especially the kadaknaths. Kadaknaths are endangered.
Ayam Cemani, Svarthöna and Kadaknaths are melanistic. She is not melanistic.
I didn't notice that on the pea comb! I'm wondering how how low quality you can get-I"ve never seen an australorp with that small and dark of a comb. She reminded me of those rare ones because her face is kind of grayish blackish pinkish, but agreed that getting those from a hatchery is near impossible.

Sumatra wasn't at all a bad guess.

The blacking of the comb is what's causing the confusion, but I'd probably put that down to quality.
Her comb does look single, but it looks like it hasn't grown much.
@KristyMN, is she definitely that age?
She's laying eggs, so it's weird. I have heard of hens that didn't grow their combs at all despite laying.
