I'm not an expert on them. I just got this one because when I called to order my chicks, they said they had one left and I could have her. She's my favorite. Bossy and independent but not nasty. Lays a medium to large egg nearly every day. Drama queen when it's time to lay an egg, but very quiet otherwise.
She is taking the frigid weather very well.

Hate to tell you this but I thinks that's a barred rock. Dominiques are more slender with a longer and more square tail. I could be wrong, but my hunch is that it truly is barred rock

Barred rocks have a single comb, Dominiques have a rosecomb.

Looks like a Dominique to me.

Some barreds do have rose combs actually...or at least they used to...(I'd like to find them) but from the picture it is hard to tell if it is rose or single

I just like her and that's what Meyer Hatchery said she is. Sure there could easily be some other genes in her. The only way to guarantee there isn't is to get them from a breeder.
