I am trying to think of Christmas gifts for a friend. She LOVES autobiographies of rock bands and famous people. Her favorites are:

The Dirt (Motley Crue)
The Heroin Diaries (Nikki Sixx)
My Horizontal Life (Chelsea Handler)
Are you there Vodka, its me Chelsea (Chelsea Handler)

As you can see, she loves both Chelsea Handler, and Motley Crue. I want to get her a good autobiography, but I'm not sure which ones are even out there. Any suggestions?

Don't have any suggestions, but if you type it in on Amazon, a lot of times they will offer suggestions-like "People who bought _______also enjoyed____________". You might try that? Other than that I would just look for books about bands you know she's into. Not sure? Sneak a peek at her cd collection.

Good luck!

I love Amazon's suggestions. I have found so many good books that I never would have known about without Amazon.

Here are the results of a search that I did on Amazon after looking up the first novel in the OP's list

Tommyland by Tommy Lee

Slash by Slash

Everybody Wants Some-The Van Halen Saga by Ian Christie

Whiteline Fever: THe Autobiography by by Lemmy Kilmister

Justice for All: The Truth About Metallica Joel McIver

The Bloody Reign Of Slayer by Joel McIver

Sid and Nancy.

Its about the lead singer of the Sex Pistols Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
Its probly not what you are looking for but its still neat..

I was going to suggest this...

It is called "And I don't want to live this life"- I think it is written by Nancy Spungeon's mom. Pretty intense stuff, even if you aren't a fan of the Pistols.

I think we all thought the same thing.

"High On Arrival" by McKenzie Phillips (Daughter of Mamas and the Papas John Phillips and child/teenage star of 70's sitcom "One Day At A Time) Awesome, eye-opening autobiography of a tragic life. Good read and brand new!
