Chickens have a preening gland that they use to spread oil around on their feathers, keeping them water repellent and shiny. Excessive bathing will lead to raggedy looking chickens before it’s their time to molt. Dust baths are definitely the way to go.Oh good, bathing eight of them would be a bit of a pain. I'm sure they wouldn't be happy about it. Much rather have them doing their dust bath. Seems more natural to me.
