Can you tell me about 4-h?

I am thinking of entering the kids in 4-h, but I don't know anything about it. Can anyone tell me pros and cons? Or anything I need to know? Thank you

4-H is for all youth ages 8-18. It is a program designed to teach kids many important life skills. Not only by raising animals but with other projects as well. I am currently in 4-H and love it. If you would like to get involved in 4-H you should contact your county extension office to see what clubs and activities are in your area. Your county extension agent should be able to answer all of the questions that you may have.

I won't be of much help, but my only experience with 4-H is when I go to the annual fair in my area. The 4-H kids always have a setup with bunnies and chickens, and they are always knowledgeable, friendly & enthusiastic, so it seems like a good thing to me!
