Can you tell me what color these ORPINGTON's R? >>>UPDATE AT 16 WEEKS

Wow, he is big! I still say my chicks look like splash Orps, and I'm pleased with how big they are. Sorry your roo lost so much of his comb, but he's still gorgeous. Thanks so much for the eggs!

I must say I'm a little afraid to get him on a scale. He's never been aggressive but those spurs are a little intimidating!. He is hefty one though!

I've never had the frostbite this bad either, it was just a LOOOOONG ugly winter up here. I'll be making some changes to the coop before I bring the chickens in for the winter so hopefully it won't happen again.

That pic certainly does show a better angle of that comb... poor fella

Thanks for clearing it all up. I have no idea about the yellow leg thing, but he surely is a handsome fella.

I'm glad western chick sent those pics over i was going to explain but she already did

SO I do feel a little better and wanted to share new chick pics now that the babies are two days old already. The one looks way silver now and is my favorite one! She did offer me a refund if I was not happy with the colors

I'm sure they will be fine i'm not out to breed them anyhow I just wanted one that looked splash colored and one blue...looks like I may have them. I do appreciate her offering me a refund though! I took 5 pics at different angles...hope you can see them all ok. They dried up nice and beautiful that's for sure! I will keep updating pics here as they change.

Will that all yellowish one turn out to be a super duper light splash or?

I'm wondering that too

I wanted an all white or close to all white...I may get one IF it's a girl I will keep it. I noticed the blue already grew feathers overnight on it's wing!

Okay, so this is a bird I got from my flock of blue (?) Orpingtons (?). What color would this be? Also, pullet or roo? I was thinking pullet but today I was watching him/her and the tail feathers looked a little roo-ish

Sorry for the ruffled feathers, it was windy when I was taking the pictures.

Is it possible that my rooster has some buff in him?

How old?..Looks like a hen to me and I think Splash. The reason I say that is the legs are white and all my splashes have whitish legs or very light grey...My original Splashes have very little markings on them..maybe just a black tip or two...
