Can you turn the eggs too much?

My incubator is pre-programmed and turns the eggs every hour. I did not have a good hatch rate. Do you think it could be turning them to often? I can program it to turn as often or as little as I wish, I was just using the factory settings. I am new to all of this.

A hen will turn her eggs very often, well into the double digits on a daily basis. I don't think the eggs were overturned. I think something else caused the hatch rate to drop. There's a million and one things that can cause bad hatch rates.
