can you use good smelling clips or other good smelling "cleanser" to make the "chick stink" die down? i know that the smell isn't very bad or any thing, but my mom is worried about the smell anyway, because lots of people come over for dinner on weekends. but of couse i dont want to hurt the chicks lungs........

I would strongly advise against it. They can cause damage to lungs and birds are sensitive. Really they are not good for you either. Artificial scents are made from coal tar which is a by-product of petroleum production. It would only cover the smell from the brooder not stop it. In fact after 15 minutes it makes your scent receptors go numb and you don't smell the artificial scents anymore anyway. How could that be good for you? If you are worried about the smell just move the brooder to an out of the way place when you have company. Of course they can go outside once they are fully feathered.
