Canada Geese- - -I WISH!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me how to attract canada geese??? I love canada geese.
I have a very large pond.
Geese stop by in pairs some times but
they only stay for like 2 or 3 days. then they leave

any advce would be appriciated!

Plan a big party outside and they will be there the day before to poop all over your yard

Seriously, I have no idea. They are all over here. You can't get away from them. Maybe you just aren't in the right area for them to nest.

My mom's boyfriend has a pond right outside his house and a pair of Canada geese come stay there every summer and raise their young...it's really cool! His pond has a small island in the middle of it where they make their nest and he keeps corn out next to the pond. So maybe it's one or both of those things they like?? A pair of wood ducks come also and a bunch of whistling ducks. He has several "pet" mallards that stay year-round along with one pilgrim goose. Hope that helps!

All ND farmers would love for you to keep them. They "hate" them here. They eat the soybeans right out of the ground before they have a chance to grow, not to mention the ones that just sprouted! They will clear a cornfield too.

I would say supply them with lots to eat and you can keep 'em

I throw scratch(whole corn and oats) for any flock that stops by here. I was able to keep a flock of 7 for several months that way. They are wild things though, they come and go as they please.

They like short lawn grass. That's why they plague golf courses and public parks.

It's funny because when the classes change out every hour, they just watch all the students like they don't have a care in the world.

Or even better yet, like they are at the college on a picnic and are people-watching. Very cute.
