We have some Maran roosters, a bantam roo, some mixed pullets, a breeding pair of jungle fowl, a red golden pheasant, a yellow golden pheasant and a lady Amherst. We're just getting ready to put the spring brood in the yard.

We got ours from Rochester Hatchery in Alberta-- but think I'd do local flocks now that I know how this works a bit better!

I am southern Ontario 45 minutes west of Toronto. I just started hatching eggs and it is a great hobby. I have a couple of friends that will take them when they are older. However, I am lucky. My city (Guelph) allows chickens in the backyard. Just not roosters.
