I'm in southwest New Brunswick. We used to raise chickens years ago and are planning to do so again. It would be wonderful to have Barred Rocks again, they are a lovely bird.

I would love to have a small flock with a few different breeds. We are less than a 10 minute drive from the US border, so importing chicks may be an option as well.

It may be an option, however the cost and all of the paperwork involved can be quite a headache. Try posting in the state thread (I'm assuming it's Maine) to find an NPIP breeder for which breed you'd like and see if they can do the paperwork.
