Canadians check in here....

I live in the Georgian Bay area of Ontario, Canada, and I'm trying to buy chickens but have encountered some issues with breeders. I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of a local breeder or is a breeder themselves.

On top of that, I would also appreciate it if I could know any local vets, farm stores, or any other helpful places.

Thank you

Hey there! Have you looked on Kijiji for chickens. There’s also a sale in Woodstock on May 19th I believe

Hi all British Columbia here. I have just discovered feather lice on my chicks, and will need to treat a flock of 23 (mostly adults)
Can you get permethrin in Canada? If not what have any of you used effectively, and where did you get it?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, new to backyard chickens and finally building a coop for first chickens next spring.
Where should I look for Bantam chicks in Ontario ?
I'm having hard time finding online websites that either ship to Ontario, or ones that carry bantams.
I'm looking for D'uccle, Serama, Cochin, and maybe bantam easter eggers if I could find some.

Welcome to BYC. It is a great source for information, with people always ready to help.
I'm not sure where you are in Ontario, but in my area, Eastern Ontario, there are lots of poultry sales/auctions/trades. You could search for local poultry groups, and watch for ads posted in feed stores.
You mentioned getting your new birds in the spring. Certainly there will be a lot more available then.
