Cancel MM chick order? *Update*

I guess I would hardly call me hysterical Adam, but whatever.

We know MM has a problem. According to my vet, if good housekeeping is done at MM, the problem will correct itself in as little as a month. Don't know what MM is doing. If you have chicks that are the same breeds that are known to have a problem, I would cancel that part of the order without question. I have lost about 40 chicks so far, and it is horrifying to lose beautiful fat, fluffy, healthy looking chicks that just one day fall over and slowly die after I had spent the time and money (food) on them. Sure, MM will replace lost chicks. What they can't replace is your time or the emotional drain. Not really something I want to do again. That isn't to say that you should never order those breeds from MM again, I just wouldn't do it in the short term.

Chicks of breeds not affected, if you like MM, I probably would not cancel.

This was basically the same response(the email) I got when I called and then made my decision!

I received an order of chicks on March 10. After reading what all was going on, I decided to isolate the MM chicks from my home hatched babies. I lost a couple the first 2 days, I assume, from the stress of shipping. Since all the posts on AE, I have been watching them like crazy. Every time I see a chick stumble, or sit back on its hocks, my heart just jumps. But today they are 20 days old, and all are fine and growing, so Im almost to the point that Im thinking mine are all fine. Ill probably wait another week before putting them with the rest, but I think my order was fortunately just fine.

I would order from MM again. I think they handled a bad situation as best as they could.
