OK, I still don't under stand this?  What is Cockrail?  and what do you mean by "we didn't have a boy to break its leg".  Why would you want to break it's leg?  OMG, that horrible..

What does your eggs look like perphaps you can send a picture and we can narrow down what the problem is.

You said a while back that your chickens leg broke because the boy was to rough but i do not have a boy chicken , a cockrail!!!so I'm saying that one day it appeared to have a broken leg which is a sign of mareks disease .
I wouldn't hurt my animals .

OHHHH no it wasn't broke.. Just so sore I guess that she was not able to use it or didn't want to use it just hung it to the side. And yes, I thought OMG mareks but no other accidents or deaths have occurred. after a while with the Vitamin B, she was up and adam's walking on it like a normal chicken doing her cluck cluck thing.... I did have quite a few boys in her coop though about 4 at one time and I only had two girls. Now we have gotten Rid of all but one. So I have two boys in there, I think that MAKES a HUGE difference.

This is one of our 5 eggs ,we are not worried any more as they have all grown the chick has filed almost the whole shell,getting ready for Thursday lock down and hatching on Easter Sunday. !

Ok I'm hatching duck and it's day 24 and they ducks are attempting to internally pip the egg do I out them on lockdown? Or just wait the extra day

No keep on the schedule it's OK if they come a little early, it takes them a long time to get out

LOL, should keep him on his hatching schedule.. But it's to late now, He's probably going to be an early bird but it will take a while before his completely out.
