Yet another newbie question from me! I recently discovered a nest of duck eggs my one female has been staying on. Possibly up to 5 days old as I try to check for eggs. They are free range in the yard and this is the first time she has stayed hidden in one spot. There are at least half a dozen in there if not more. I read online I can check if they are fertile with a flashlight? If they are not, we would eat them, but if there are babies started I'd like to let her nest. If I take the eggs to check them, will she accept them after I return them? If they are fertile and she's staying with them, are the chances of hatching without intervention good? Will the two males be a threat to the babies?

I was not planning on having this happen, lol, but landscaping of the yard have messed up my control system! Any suggestions are helpful.

Also, if I check only one or two, can I assume they are all the same, or should I really check every one?
