Update on Qevin. His registered name will be "QonArtist," because naming protocols require he follow his sire's first initial. His sire is Qredit, a big, gorgeous chestnut fellow with a huge presence and a personality to match. Qev has big horseshoes to fill .. but he's already got the big personality, so the rest will likely follow!

Aww he's so cute! I just love foals--but it can be so nerve wracking watching them tackle their foal milestones...

It sure is. It's tough when "the kids" have no interest in a family legacy. I just hope it stays a horse farm. If we're going to keep the Maryland Horse Industry going, we can't afford to lose cornerstones like Hilltop.

Meet Sumo - the newest baby at Hilltop! He thinks he's a wrestler - hence the name. Mama is teaching him not to wrestle with her. His people are having a tougher time getting the message across ... but he's learning! Despite being the youngest of the bunch, so far, he's likely gonna be head honcho amongst this year's foals. He's very curious, very active and very hard to photograph!
