Candeling question....

Those are blood rings, but they don't necessarily mean that bacteria was present in the eggs. Blood rings are caused by the death the embryo. Early death in eggs could be caused by: high/low temp, high/low humidity, bacteria, etc.

Interesting. I haven't seen these too often but I thought the ring was a sign of bacteria and not just death. Incubating is a constant learning experience. I've done this quite a few times, hatched chicks, quail, ducklings .. and I can still learn. :)

The breeder was great...she offered me another 6 eggs and suggested maybe they aren't being turned. I checked the machine and they are but maybe ill do it by hand as well.

Well I emailed her last week and asked her to bring them with her for pick up at the poultry show that was happening today. She never responded. Maybe she was busy getting ready for the show? Not sure cause she responded right away before. I'm disappointed, but I guess I'll cross my fingers these two hatch and they are not Roos!
