Duct tape fixes EVERYTHING!!!!!

I have tried clear packing tape, wax, super glue, and nail polish...none of which worked. Recently I dropped an egg and made a small crack in the shell. I got the only other 'adhesive' in the house (aside from the ones listed)...that one being an Elmer's glue stick. That egg has been in the incubator since the 25th of last month and is developing right along with the rest of the eggs set the same day. So looks like I'll be using Elmer's glue from now on since this is the first egg I've ever repaired that didn't quit.

I would leave it alone. I dropped a silkie egg accidentally and it cracked while placing it on the bottom hatch tray. Disheartened I left it alone and low and behold, 3 days later it hatched into a healthy silkie. If the inner membrane stays intact I think the bird will be okay.

i just read an article about color dyeing chick embryos... they said to close the hole up with the tape part of a bandaid... that has to work as well.... right...? so maybe some breathable bandage tape...?
