Last night I used MissPrissy's method for candling eggs. Big Thanks for that idea MissPrissy! Anyhow, I have 61 bobwhites - 11 that were 7 days yesterday and the rest 5 days. We were able to see veins in all, but there was one that looked a bit different. It had like a dark half ring. I assumed it maybe a blood ring from what I have read on here. However, I am all new to this and need to know the good and bad of blood rings - if that is what it is. It did not encompass the egg, but it was about 1/3 of the way around and just a narrow strip.

As long as it didn't smell leave it and check it again around day 14. A lot of us don't through an egg until between day 10 and 14 when it becomes more obvious-unless they are obviously clear, etc. Sometimes the way the veining is can cause them to look like they have a ring.
