It is best not to remove candle eggs at least till after day 7 and maybe don't candle till day 7. I had a BO egg that looked like it was not developing, day 7, but I marked it to check at a later date, now day 10 the egg was fertile and when candled it was moving in egg with out my moving it. I was glad I didn't pull it too soon.

I cant stand incubator, but if the situation dictates I candle all the time and haven’t had issues. My issue is I put them back in small end up:he

I learned this the hard way! I was worried about one of my blue eggs because I couldn’t see a thing. All I could get was a rounded area of blood vessels so I pulled it thinking it was a blood ring. When I cracked it to double check, it was a perfect little embryo. 😔

I seriously want to try that this spring. My friend and I tried it last year and we made it to day 11, but then power went out.

One time I had a BCM egg, and a hen was sitting on it, it didn't show any action till day 10. I was so happy! The egg produced a white maran pullet.
