Anyone have pictures or know of a good link where I can see what I'm supposed to be looking for when I candle eggs? We have a roo now and we know he's busy as a bee most days and after we had to butcher one of our hens and she had fertilized eggs inside of her, we know we have fertile eggs coming out. We want to incubate some for a school project and to just repopulate our flock a little but we don't know what we're looking for when we candle them. We can find the air pocket usually and sometimes we can see a shadow floating around but most of the time there's nothing we can even see, it all looks the same. Should we be seeing blood vessels or something? How long does it take to see them and how many days can we wait before putting the eggs in an incubator?
