What am I looking for when candling eggs. I was told that if you can see through the egg after about 5 days in the incubator then the egg is not fertile. Is that correct? Also when it is fertile what am I looking for, I don't always see red in the eggs, sometimes it's just dark. Thanks everyone! [IMG]

You should see red veining up and down the egg and the embryo or eye bouncing or dancing around. Try not to candle til day 10 that is a really good day for people new to candle to see good growth and know what they are looking for.

Clears will be just that on day 10, just like candling a refridged egg.
