What am I looking for when candling eggs. I was told that if you can see through the egg after about 5 days in the incubator then the egg is not fertile. Is that correct? Also when it is fertile what am I looking for, I don't always see red in the eggs, sometimes it's just dark. Thanks everyone!

You should see red veining up and down the egg and the embryo or eye bouncing or dancing around. Try not to candle til day 10 that is a really good day for people new to candle to see good growth and know what they are looking for.

Clears will be just that on day 10, just like candling a refridged egg.
