Candling eggs

I made a small wooden box with a light bulb inside. the top was made of glass and slightly bigger than the sides, i then used a glass deviled egg tray that held 24 and sat it in top you can see perfectly through them all .you could double the size and be able to put two glass trays on top

i believe if you just had under 6 hens no roosters and kept them confined and clean free of smells that a neighbor would not complain about them.

I was thinking the led strip would be a good idea. Not sure if the strips will be bright enough. if not, my idea was to take my egg carton, cut the top off and cut a hole in the bottom of each.put the bottom in the top of the egg carton and mark the location of the holes. Then buy some high intensity white LEDs and glue them to the egg carton lid. You can wire it to a 9v battery or a wall wart (charger). Of course you will need some resistors, depends on your LEDs. Did you try the LED strip? How did it work? I didn't read further, perhaps you already told. I just noticed this was from earlier
