CANDLING HELP!!!!

Hi I'' trying to candle my brown New Hampshire Red Eggs and it's not working. I'm using a black cone shaped paper and a flashlight. Really need help.

I have brown eggs that are not too dark but I'm not seeing what I think I should be. Day 7 candling shows a dark spot that wast there on day 4, but I'm not seeing the veins that I read about. I only incubated 3 eggs and two didn't develop.

To me, that looks like the embryo developing. But I could be wrong, I'm very new at this.

Got an idea for now or next time. I have a unit from my Blood sexing company. It is the Buddy Digital Egg Monitor. I use it on my parrot eggs so that I don't waste our time and the birds time laying on infertile eggs. It usually tells whether the egg is fertile in 6-7 days by showing its heart beat and displaying the heart rate. Cool, beyond cool. Hope this will help you.
