Candling Pictures. Help me confirm if this one needs to be tossed

Good to know. I have 2 with what I would call definite blood rings. I will dump them today.

Get shot of the first one right away and any others that look like it, I think you mentioned you had an identical one to this too? Get rid.

The second one to me looks like an early quitter. If the embryo seems noticably smaller than the others and has no veining or movement by day 10, toss it too.

I agree !

I got rid of the two that looked like blood rings and they were definitely "quitters." Decided to let the next one go for a bit longer, but I'm pretty sure it is not a survivor. Just to add insult to injury, the one that looked good at day #7 is now starting to look like it is trying to develop a blood ring.

darn air-cells!

Looks like it isn't going to be great hatch. My temps have mostly been ok except for a little variation. I think this is due to loose air cells. Darn it!!!

the first one is deff a blood ring so get rid and the second looks fine although i would say very very slightly underdeveloped for day 7, what temp you incubating at? but so far num 2 looks like its good

I have a still air styrofoam incubator so it depends where in the incubator the egg is sitting. That one is sitting on the warmer side so it is running ~101.5 or so. I haven't had a ton of variation other that an unexplained cool down on Sunday but it was only to about 99.5 so not so bad and of course I over-corrected so it was followed by a brief ~102.5 and I spent the next few hours getting it back to a good level.

My humidity is about 30-35%, probably closer to 30%.

I opened up the "blood spot" today because now on day 10, it really just looked clear and in fact it was. All the blood rings (now 3 total) were dead. The last one, had a chicken shaped embryo but it was clearly dead (no veins, no motion when opened).

I have one more suspicious one that I will probably decide on in a few days and the other 5 have mobile embryos. Overall, I have gained more confidence in my ability to candle.
