Candling question

I have one that is similar to that, and I watched and watched it and was sure I saw movement and so I determined it must be alive, well thats my hope anyhow. Not much use to you, but I hope they are good! I only have 6 eggs now, started with 7 so at least you have a few more to make it hopefully!

I don't know at this point i've only seen movement in about 6 eggs lol out of forty that's horrible! So I'm hoping non of us are seeing it :for but hopefully I'll be able to tell more as of day 18. What day are your eggs on?

I've got brown eggs like you and can't tell what I'm looking at either. can't see veins, just blobs and dark areas. Some of the eggs I can see an air sac. Some there isn't anything, some have a dark ring circling the egg. Tonight I'm going to candle and toss the ones with nothing going on, and the ones with the ring. The rest will stay. I'm on day14. Good luck with your hatch.

Here's what I use to candle with, doesn't do much better than the big one you're using but it's easier on the eyes.

i have brown eggs too and can't see much more than darkness and then air sac.

although i'm nervous about the exploding egg as well, i'm just looking for weaping or stinky eggs to determine if i should take them out of the incubator.

i am not sure about your eggs but if it was me i would give them a little time. i took 8 out of the incubator on friday after candling. all of them seemed to have either no development or a blood ring. i cracked them open yesterday and one had a baby in it. feathers and all.

i'm not sure if it was already dead which is why i didn't see anything on candle but i am kicking myself for not waiting. all of the others really had no development. i am checking for smell daily so i won't throw any more out unless they smell or leak. good luck to you i hope you have a good hatch.
