rThis is very ironic because an hour ago i just found am egg. Mind givig me some tips? I have a few duck eggs in my incubator so idk. I candled it and theres a dark spot. Really small. Ive been just cupping my hands while i walked home
I don't think it's a good idea to try and hatch wild birds. jmho I once took some starling eggs out of my dryer pipe where they had built a nest and started to incubate them. They were developing but then I was told that they had to have the mother feed them because she would give them some kind of enzyme or something that they needed to live. I decided to stop incubating. I would think it would be terribly difficult to keep a baby robin alive from the beginning. Other nesting birds too. I did raise two robins to adulthood when I was a kid but they already had some feathering.
