The she wolf entered the cave growling, hackles raised.
“why did you take my friend?“ Tala asked, trying to look submisive.
“we're hungry.” the she wolf growled.
Tala could see she was injured too.
“I'll hunt for you,” she suggested “just please don't hurt him.
And with that Tala left…

Coal woke up and v=barked at the she wolf
 
In the forest Tala found a group of small deer, she snuck foward as quite as a shadow. When she was close enough she gathered her legs beneath her…she waited…then pounced! She brought down the smallest one. Now she had to drag it back.
 
Tala grabbed the deer by the neck and began to drag it back towards the cave. The deer was heavy, thankfully the cave wasn't far. After a half hour she was exhausted, but the cave was just around the bend!
She heard snarling and barking up ahead…
 
“hey! Leave him alone.“ Tala warned. She dragged the deer into the cave and watched as the she wolf and pups ravenously ate. Tala pulled a piece of meat off and brought it to Coal. “eat.” she whispered “were leaving.”
 
“I felt bad for the pups.“ she said. She nudged his shoulder, “come on,“ she urged “let's go find a new home. She led him from the cave and into the woods, she wanted to head for the moutians.….
