When I went to do the chickens my sister pointed out to me that our Light Brahma, Jessica, was acting strange.
Jessica had a darkish comb and when she hopped out of the coop she stumbled a bit. I picked her up and decided to look in her mouth and sure enough, there was a bunch of the smelly yellow growth inside.
We hurried her up to the shed and she's in a cage with food and water. She did eat and drink a bit but now as I just checked on her she's all huddled up in a corner sleeping.
Since she has so much of it I'm positive the others have it now as well as my neighbour/our chickens.
I had a case of canker last year and sadly the hens died partly because I didn't have to right medication but this time I do have copper sulphate from my cousins.
How can I treat this and how can I make the hens and roos get the sulphate?
I'm in Canada by the way so getting other medications isn't very easy and I don't want to ship anything.
