Yes, that's what you need to do, then I can calculate how many mg's are in one scoop.

5 grams x 700 mg per gram (that's what 70% means) = 3500 mg
3500 mg / 35 scoops = 100 mg per scoop
The metronidazole dose I use is about 23 mg per pound once or twice a day, so a 5 pound hen of mine would get a slightly rounded scoop once or twice a day.

This is a Light Brahma hen so she is quite big but has lost some weight from not eating as much. She was eating a bit this morning though so I'm happy!

A big hen might weigh 10 pounds, so two scoops once or twice a day.
