Canker or wet pox?

No
Have you seen any dry fowl pox in your flock? If you have wet fowl pox is possibly what it is. If not, then canker may be the problem. There are several medicines that can treat canker, including metronidazole from Jedds.com or acidified copper sulfate 1/4 tsp per gallon of water from McMurray Hatchery. Here is a link for metronidazole:

i havent seen any dry pox at all— can they get wet and not dry? Or youre saying if i do not see dry pox than its likely canker?

What symptoms was this hen exhibiting that made you look inside the beak?

Not eating/drinking, lethargic....? What made you look?

Is that material still there after she's had something to eat/drink?
Shes an ayam cemani—was supposed to be exhibition quality and i noticed the pink so the breeder told me to keep an eye to see if it darkened. I just happened to look in there to see if it has after a few weeks of not looking. She does have a sneeze and the other two i have her with currently have runny noses. And ive been noticing some sneezing and coughing from everyone else recently also. We JUST got over one girl having coccidia but everyone has been fine since then. Were in nc and with the hurricane that just passed through i havent had time really to spend with them as much as id like
