Canning and Home preserving

I've been making it for the past few years now. My phyllo never looks like hers, but it doesn't really matter. The inside filliing is delicious, and you can't screw up butter-soaked phyllo too bad (as long as it's not burnt). Last time I made it, I cut about 3 huge slices from it and froze them. My DH will pull out a slice when he has a hankering for spinach pie.
I cant do feta right now but love the milder stuff.... I made prime rib for dinner and the salt in the crust has me bloated on top of my lymph edema... so water and bland foods for a while.

Oh well.

Christmas was good prime rib came out great I made a boat load of gravy

Prime rib sounds delicious! DH and I went out for an early dinner to a nice restaurant. Treated myself to bison filet. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

i hAVE ONLY had bison once in steak form. but I have had bison burgers. lean meat needs to be cooked quickly to preserve the tenderness.

takes a chef with experience to do justice to the dish.

bwhahahaah.... Crack that whip... you are talking to a former eight shots per day coffee snob... Had to quit cold turkey because of cancer surgery... When I woke up from the anesthesia they asked me how I felt..... PAIN.... they didnt aske and immediatly gave me a shot of Morphine... Only took the edge off my head ache.

I was back drinking single shot espresso drinks after recovery... Short lived because they made me feel like crap. After Gastric Sleeve surgery again NO caffien. Not even sodas because the staples in my stommach needed time to heal ... its been six months since the Gastric surgery and I am down 106 pounds. Another 100 to go and game is on. Caffien stimulates your pancreas to trigger hunger pains. Thank goodness the surgery took out the part of the stommach that tells you you are hungry.

So for now No Caffien.... Love the smell love the taste but it does a number on my weight loss efforts.
