I have a sewing machine some where in my Laundry room. And I will have a ton of jeans as well. I could make all sorts of things. Some of those t shirts are enough to make four place mats.Deb,
So sorry to hear about your accident with the water tank. That does not sound fun at all. Glad the neighbors came to help. Hope you are feeling better soon. Take it easy so you can heal.
It sounds like your plans are coming along nicely. Good luck with the wire racks! That sounds like a good system for you.
For any T-shorts that you can't wear anymore, they make a really nice quilt when backed by a nice cotton fabric. A friend of mine had all her son's high school swimming t-shirts made into a quilt that he took to college.
doing better and better.sorry to hear about your accident; I do hope the aches and pains are relieved soon. And best of luck with the move!
Help of the male persuasion is hard to find. Lot of alchaolics and drug addicts. there may be a few though. I know there are a cuple of people who hire out bobcat work... The driveway is about eight hundred feet long I estimate. And it needs propper grading... Taking out the ruts and provide direction for the water runoff.Take it easy glad you can hire some help you will need it
I am prepared for the $$ for the house wiring... I can do without the grading if I have to... I know some work arounds the locals use...Be boatloads of money but all in your own home again lot's of the same going on here
Welcome to the thread. From what I have read it takes a bit more acid for certain jellies. You might read what the manufacturer of the pectin you used recommends. I will look it up as well.I haven't read the entire threat, so forgive me if this was covered.
I am new to canning and I have been making some great jams, jellies and marmalades.
The last one I made, Sweet Red Pepper Jelly, was going great until the water bath. It set in the pan it was cooked in and on the ladle I used to ladle it into jars. When the jars came out of the water bath, the jelly was very runny and after 24 hours, still hasn't set.
What did I do wrong and/or how do I fix it?
I did the rosemary jelly and it was fantastic. I also did garlic jelly and chardonnay jelly as well as a few of the common jellies. Out of maybe a dozen, only one other didn't set up well after the water bath, but that one can be used as a syrup. (Raspberry jalapenojellysyrup.) I figured it was the recipe but this one has tiny flakes of the red pepper that is supposed to be suspended in the jelled result. Please advise, as I need to avoid making the same mistakes in today's batches.
