Yeah I like my roos and all that but I never really get that attached to them. I just keep a roo to here him crow in the morning, look pretty, protect his ladies, and be a gentleman. They are beautiful and full of personality I have to give them that, but I really enjoy the peace of only having one man in my flock lol and I have a felling my ladies appreciate it as well. When we have more roos then needed I just sell them for whatever I can get for them (usually around 5$ each) I sell them as soon as I can tell they are roos so I dont get all that attached to them, if I cant sell them or give them away I eat them. Now when my roo goes bad and starts attacking me and being a jerk to his ladies, I try and sell him immediately, I have enough stuff to worry about besides having to watch my back every time I go to visit my girls and I hate to see my ladies suffer. If I cant sell him or give him away I eat him, simple as that. I guess you could say that I am a fan of my hens way more them my roos.
