For cats with diabetic neuropathy, you give them vitamin B-12. Methylcobalamin with folic acid is best (most common is cyanocobalamin which isn't as effective). I am not saying that people are like cats, but having a diabetic cat led me to do more research and Methyl B-12 w/folic acid does a lot for you. It's one of the vitamins that what you don't need passes through. Do a bit of research on it and see if it's something that you might want to try... you can also get periodic injections of it at the doctor.

elivil is also a medicine for nerve damage. I am type 2 . the other medicine for treatment is neurotin. she will be putting me on it this month.
