Can't imagine this buff orpington NOT being a cockerel...

I cannot keep roosters here, my daughter will be sad she can't keep this one, but have had her prepared since day one. It's a week older than the other 10, but he and one of the others are pretty frequently chest bumping and yesterday when they were out in the yard they both had a full-on stand off, puffing up their neck feathers around the base of their heads and circling around. Hilarious, really.
Will try to find a home for someone who wants a hand raised rooster. He greets me every time we go into the garage and always wants to be picked up. Will hop right into your hand and climb up your arm to sit on your shoulder.

There's a few others who are obviously having their combs turn red and wattles. Are roosters typically more friendly than hens? Most of the ones with small, still non-red combs aren't nearly as attention seeking as the ones I suspect are cockerels.

Anyway, thanks for confirming what I was 95% sure of. :)
