My pullet hasn't been able to poop for about 10 hours now. It started last night at about nine. Urine is the only thing coming out. Her crop was full last night, so we took her food away and checked in the morning. It was empty. She's now eating a lot, but there is a big glob of urine to the ground. She's still straining, and, like i said, can't poop.

Would she be dead already if she were egg bound??

I would assume she is egg bound. I don't have any experience with that, but I wish you luck. There have been lots of posts about egg bound hens. Do a search. There will be lots of info.

She got what out? An egg or did she poop?

If she was having that much trouble pooping I would alter her diet for at least a week to give her system a rest. Give soft foods like yogurt, scrambled eggs, shredded carrots, very well cooked oatmeal and a mash made out of chick crumbles moistened with Gatorade.

Does she have free access to chicken gravel grit? Is she having a hard time digesting her food. Another reason for the 'backup' could be not enough water.

She passed an egg. I think the egg was blocking everything except for the urine because throughout today, her poops have been really big. I have some grit that a friend gave us, mixed with oyster shells for calcium. I guess I put it in a bowl and she will eat it?? I made her "mash" with crumbles, yogurt, and 1% milk. She has access to water that is clean (except for the clean shavings that she immediately kicks in it, but I rinse the dispenser thing out a couple times a day).

So all in all, she got an egg and a load of poo out too
