My Coop
This one of six amber sex links that my son is worried that is a roo, assured him that it is not, but because of her redder features he is worried otherwise, especially since we live in the city. These six are twelve weeks old, I understand there are certain tall tale signs but does that hold true to mixed breeds? Here are a few other shots of her with her sisters and the rest of the flock. He really works hard at taking good care of all our girls he helped clean poopy butts and the smelly brooder he makes sure the gates are locked and the coop is secure he cleans, and then he sits with them in run for hours as they climb all over him. We have a total of 14 chickens, 8 purebred and these amber links to make sure we have enough eggs for us and to appease any cranky neighbors. 5 are in our attic right now since temperature dropped dramatically I'm waiting till the littlest one is fully feather.

um oh no Really? I was wondering about the red on her wings does it matter that her comb is less developed than the featured one? I did buy 6 instead of 5 as a precaution but I didn't think this was the precaution I though it would have been death as a chick. She always had that red ever since they feathered out and she was the one with poopy butt we call her Gross Rose.

How old are they?

I agree with ramirezframing, the one with red in the wings could very well be a male. Females usually don't get red in the wingbow.

That's the best I can get right now I need my son to help hold.

Yeah, at 12 weeks I would expect more of a comb if it were a cockerel. Same goes for the first one you pictured. I don't see big legs on either as well. However I've never had Amberlinks so I do not know how fast they develop. I'd watch those 2, but I wouldn't give up hope yet that all are pullets.

Ugh. I have two that look just like yours, white with the red on their wings. I got them from the pullet bin at TSC, but I guess they could have been sexed incorrectly. Waiting to hear a crow or get an egg!

Lol yeah I think my son is just over worried cuz he doesn't want to give a bird away and like I told him I think that the one is developing a slightly larger comb, and the other is just colored, remember these are mix breeds like our dogs lol. We got these guys to ensure lots of eggs from tsc, then went to a breeder for our fancy birds. Our breeder said when in doubt bring them out and sex em he's awesome.
